Kirsten King’s Sydney

Kirsten King’s Sydney

My name is: Kirsten King.

I’m known for being: The founder of Fluidform Pilates, a specialized approach to functional movement.

I live in: South Coogee, Sydney, Australia.

My newest wellness obsession is: Getting outside for a long walk everyday and Pearl Marine Collagen Powders by Par Olive.

In my city, my favorite place for exercise is: On South Coogee headland, at sunrise.

The best spot for body or facial treatments is: The Hyrafacial from All Saints Clinic in Double Bay.

My favorite local health food store or delicious nourishing restaurant is: Orchard St. for treats and smoothies and Bread & Circus for lunch.

When I’m there, I always grab: Orchard St.’s banana bread and warm chai elixir. The chicken salad lunch box or warm yellow fish curry from Bread & Circus.

When I want to get quiet, think and/or meditate, I head to: The coastal walk near my home.

What I do there is: Listen to a podcast while I walk.

What makes it special and unique is: No matter how many times I walk the same strip, I’m still amazed by where I live.

My favorite Australian podcaster or writer is: So many to choose from! I like listening to Mark Bouris' The Mentor and After Work Drinks with Grace O'Neill and Isabelle Truman. Bri Lee and Melina Marchetta are two of my favorite Australian authors.

My favorite local bookstore is: Title in Surry Hills.

The best thing about it is: The collection of travel books and vintage designer books.

When I need to get away, I take a trip to in: Eden Health Retreat.

The reason why I love it is: When you’re there, you feel completely immersed in the experience. No distractions.

The Live The Process piece I’m coveting right now is: The Modus loungewear set in Crema.

I’d wear it to: Sydney is currently a month into lockdown, so, between going for walks, shopping locally and nesting at home, I’ve barely taken it off!
