A Mercury Retrograde Escape to The Time Nyack

A Mercury Retrograde Escape to The Time Nyack

My name is: Anthony Damiano.

I'm known for being:

General manager of The Time Nyack.

I’m talking about:

Our new “Mercury Retrograde” package, available from 2/17-3/10.

This is special because:

We’re focusing on overall mental and physical health by providing guests with essential oils, a diffuser and a Verilux Happylight therapy lamp, which everyone can benefit from—not just those affected by Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.). Guests will also be able to enjoy an in-room crystal menu with an assortment of love, health and remover-of-obstacles stones, ideal for combatting the negative effects of Mercury in retrograde.

One thing you can’t miss is:

The Verilux Happylight therapy lamps, a wellness amenity we haven’t seen widely offered at other hotels. The lamps mimic sunlight, which is so essential to our well-being. They’re known to improve mood and energy levels by triggering the release of serotonin and to encourage sleep by resetting your sleep/wake cycle to its natural state. They can help combat problems associated with winter blues, sleep disorders, light deprivation, jet-lag, shift work and more.

My favorite secret detail is:

Book our Timeless Suite to be able to enjoy an exclusive aura cleansing bath in the luxurious clawfoot tub.

Your body will thank you because:

While the effects of Mercury retrograde are at times unpredictable, The Time Nyack is providing travelers with a secure place to slow down, unplug and restore through physical, mental and spiritual self-care.

When it comes to well-being, we’re all about:

Letting our guests indulge in the wide open spaces that the property has to offer. As The Time Nyack was previously a warehouse, the hotel features tall ceilings, oversized windows and lots of room to relax within the rooms and suites. Further, certain room types also include private balconies, providing guests with the opportunity to take in fresh air from the comfort of the hotel. The property also encompasses a quaint gym and a pool to relax in during the summer, along with an onsite bar and restaurant.

We are also very proud to be pet-friendly, as we know how calming our furry family members can be! In terms of programming, the hotel offers cycling packages for enthusiasts to bike along the 9W path while a car service transports their luggage from Manhattan and, most recently, we began hosting on-site yoga classes in the ballroom. The surrounding area also offers myriad activities for outdoor lovers, such as walking the town of Nyack, hiking in neighboring Hook Mountain State Park and renting kayaks and sailboats to use on the Hudson during the warmer months.

While you’re in the neighborhood, you must try:

Nyack may be quaint, but our food scene is diverse and bustling. Karenderya is a small mom-and-pop Filipino restaurant that was recently voted one of the top 20 restaurants in America by Esquire. The newest hotspot to check out is DPNB: Pasta & Provisions, home to a variety of homemade pasta and even pasta-making classes.

Escaping should be part of your process because:

It allows the mind to learn and grow as you meet new people, try new food, explore new places and stay open to experiences that differ from the day-to-day.

Escaping is part of my process because:

It helps me become more well-rounded and cultured, so I’m able to relate more fully to our guests and team members.
