What is Deeksha?

Also called the “Oneness Blessing,” it is the transfer of consciousness/God/grace/father/mother/energy/whatever-you-prefer-to-call-it, through the hands of a trained blessing giver—onto your head and into your being.

Deeksha is neither a cult nor a religion. Instead, it focuses on the unity of man and womankind. It is intuitive and intelligent, knowing exactly what each person needs, speeding each of us through our evolutionary process. And it has been brought to us by gurus Amma and Bhagavan in India, who want nothing more for us than to remember our oneness, especially at this time of year. 

I know. I know. You’re thinking: here she goes with another one of her New Age rants. But I’ve experienced the benefits firsthand: Years ago, a therapist asked me if she could place her hands on my head for a few minutes. I agreed. She asked me to pay attention to what happened over the following week. It was incredible! By the time I saw her for our next session, my issue from the previous meeting felt resolved and we were onto something completely new. This started to happen week after week. Best of all, I didn't experience all the pain associated with life lesson learning (love me a shortcut!). I fell so deeply in love with the process that I trained to become a blessing giver myself.
