My name is: Puneet Kahlon.
My stomping ground is: A verdant hill station in the Nilgiris that feeds my mind, body and soul.
I’m known for being: In a sound space, which I imbibe from the philosophy we espouse at our retreat. As their communication strategist, it’s important that I internalize this knowledge to successfully externalize it.
I'm talking about: Naad Wellness.
You can find it at: Near Capital Region, New Delhi, India, and hour and a half drive from the international airport.
Before I started this retreat work, I was: In marketing, pitching soulless experiences.
My interest was sparked when: I truly understood that there is a journey each individual is destined to undertake—spiritually, emotionally and physically—and I had barely even begun.
The idea behind it is: Naad Wellness is based on ancient sciences. The three pillars are Ayurveda, naturopathy and yoga; and they work best as an amalgamation and in unison with each other.
What makes it different is: At Naad Wellness, we address the holistic well-being of an individual. We’re not in the business of the superficial, so you can’t order your treatments off a menu. You have to undergo a doctor’s consult post check-in, and they decide what your retreat will entail and what it is your body and soul direly need.
My favorite lesser-known detail is: The food. The chef is a miracle worker and he customizes the food to appeal to the senses; to motivate you in your wellness journey.
I hope the guests walk away feeling: Whole.
Retreating is so important because: We all need to disconnect, heal, reconnect.
My favorite retreat I ever went on was: Always at Naad Wellness, as none compare to it.
The words I live by are: A healthy outside starts from the inside.
One truth that is so important, but people don’t always realize is: You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
