My name is: Sofiia Manousha.
I’m known as: An actress, director and beauty influencer.
My expertise is in: The impact of food on the skin. I’m a beauty-food recipes creator and a skin lover.
I stay physically healthy with: Practicing reformer Pilates and Gyrotonic at Studio Rituel with the amazing Verena four times a week. This is vital to my well-being. I also do ballet barre at Barre Shape. I love it.
Every morning, I take time to meditate and do yin yoga. I love to dry brush my entire body and using my gua sha on my face to circulate my lymph.
I finish my morning routine with a cup of pure matcha to start my day.
I keep my emotions balanced with: Meditation and prayer every day. I need to connect myself to the universe and God.
All my choices, decisions and actions are guided by my intuition. I need to take care of my soul to keep my head clear.
Also, eating a whole food, plant-based diet and my Sun Potion adaptogen elixirs every day is important to my daily process. I’m a huge fan of pearl powder, chaga and he shou wou—and I add them to my “Radiant Avocado Smoothie” every morning. Twice a week, I do cryotherapy, which helps my body recover from stress and tension. (My coach, Steve, the founder of Pole Cryo, helps a lot.) This truly makes me feel great all throughout the day and improves my sleep.
I’m intellectually stimulated by: Painting, art, books, flowers, the ocean, music, creating vibrant recipes, working out, being surrounded by inspiring humans, movies. This feeds my imagination. It’s how I process. I also love being surrounded by my amazing, inspiring friends; I'm very blessed.
I was recently transformed by: All of 2017 literally changed my life.
I experienced everything from a car accident to a long period of illness to my face getting burned four days before my birthday! (I was born on Christmas.) I feel so blessed and thankful to have endured these hard times. I love the quote, “our of chaos, the stars are born.” It speaks to me and my experience.
After that, I created my website, Mybeautyfuelfood.com, and everything is now so aligned. I feel that I am truly so lucky. I live my dream; I am alive; I am surrounded by fantastic souls. The suffering taught me to live in the present—and that’s huge.
In the last six months, the ritual that has become so important for me is: Rituals have always been one of the most important things in my life.
My morning routine consists of waking up around 7am, doing my 25 minutes of yin yoga to warm up my body and balance my hormones, followed by a short meditation (including my prayer) and, finally, my beauty from within ritual:
I drink a large jar of fresh water, celery juice and my morning Matcha Konomi. Then, I do my dry brushing and use a jade roller and gua sha on my face—all while keeping my phone off.
My skincare regimen is also part of my routine. I wake up my skin with the delicate Tata Harper floral face mist, hydrate with my Oh My Cream Serum (rich in hyaluronic acid and vitamin A) and, when the nights are too short, I use Kat Burki’s eye recovery masks. (These patches have saved me so many times before a casting or shoot!)
Once a month, I need to see my facialist, Delphine Langlois, for a one-hour kobido massage. Her hands are magical! And, every Sunday, I do a digital detox, staying offline for 24 hours. This is my personal luxury.
Still, the truth is that sleep is my #1 beauty secret. I turn off my phone one-hour before going to bed. I love reading. And I sleep with a silk pillow case that has literally changed my sleep and skin.
It helps me live my process because: My intuition is my process. I need to take care of my soul to be connected with the world and be the best version of myself.
