My name is: Grace Matilda Cotton.
I’m known as: Model, yogi, green beauty and eco-conscious entrepreneur. Creator of The Soul Market.
My expertise is in: Modeling/acting, fitness, health and wellness.
I stay physically healthy with: I stay physically healthy with yoga, Peloton, StairMaster, boxing, anything active that gets my heart rate up! For my skin, hair and nails, I use Nutrafol and Costa Brazil’s body and face oil.
I keep my emotions balanced with: Yoga, meditation and breathwork—all techniques I learned on my yoga teacher training in India. They really help me when I’m stressed or feeling anxious. I also tend to read to calm my mind. Immersing myself in a good book really changes my mindset.
I’m intellectually stimulated by: Lots of things! I love reading autobiographies, as I feel like I’m learning a series of life lessons through someone else’s experiences. Documentaries and TED Talks are also great. I recently watched a documentary called The Need To Grow, which explores the agricultural and food production industry and the importance of healthy soil in order to restore the health of the Earth. I find permaculture very interesting and believe it is the future.
I was recently transformed by: I was recently transformed by a “Shamanic Journey” meditation session that I experienced in London at Buddhabox gym. The practice involved lying down on a mat for one hour and doing a series of breathing exercises while a shaman played beautiful, soulful, Pachamama music, as well as his own chants and instruments. I left with the most bizarre feeling—somewhere between relaxed, euphoric and energized!
In the last six months, the ritual that has become so important for me is: Every single day, as soon as I wake up and as soon as I go to sleep, I practice gratitude and abundance thinking. I also believe the practice of manifestation is pivotal to achieving your goals.
Here’s how you can do it too: Every morning, as soon as you wake up and/or every night before you sleep, start a journal and write down 10 things you are grateful for (it can be more or less) and really focus on these points with an open heart. Even if it’s as simple as being grateful for waking up, the attitude of abundance will only bring more abundance into your life. I truly believe this technique done daily, consistently, has the ability to change your life.
There are many different manifestation techniques, but my favorite is dream boarding or multi-perspective visualization. Dream boarding involves getting a board (this can be a Pinterest board or an arts and crafts board) and using imagery and words that encapsulates what you want to manifest. This could be photos of houses/cars/dream holidays etc.
Multi-perspective visualization is a little more personal and involves seeing yourself within a visualization from a third-person perspective (i.e. watching yourself sign the contract on your dream home you just purchased).
It helps me live my process because: It keeps me humble and grounded and I go into each day with a positive, grateful and abundant mindset.
