My name is: Kate Posch.
My stomping ground is: Split between Upstate New York and NYC. (This girl needs some country time!)
I’m known for being: An OG Sky Ting teacher who brings some spice into her classes with plenty of joint mobility work and stabilization.
The perfect time to experience this spiciness is during my Wednesday 12pm zoom class with Sky Ting!
Before I started this work, I was: A personal trainer and functional movement specialist.
My interest was sparked when: My interest in the body and how it works came from being an athlete since childhood.
What inspired me to start this was: I was inspired to transition from personal training into teaching yoga after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I could no longer train and work my body the way I was used to, and I began the healing work of yoga.
The idea behind it is: The idea behind all of my classes now isn’t punishing the body, but to use movement and breath to heal, to nurture and to find a comfortability in the body that lasts.
What makes it different is: My classes focus on more than just “stretching.” We work the joints, the fascia, the muscles—the whole shebang!
I’m personally all about a plant-based lifestyle because: I love animals. I’m literally obsessed with all animals and want to basically live on a farm one day and just care for them. That’s the dream!
This class will connect you to the earth because: We will ground, connect, and feel rooted. Expect a lot of primal, low to the ground movement, breathwork and spherical movement to become aware of our surroundings.
