A Review of “Fears to Fierce”

A Review of “Fears to Fierce”

My name is: Brita Fernandez Schmidt.

My book is called: Fears to Fierce: A woman’s guide to owning her power (May 1, 2021).

My background before becoming an author was: Working for not-for-profit organizations promoting women’s rights and equality; and life coaching for women.

I was inspired to write it when: I was increasingly being asked for advice on how to live a purposeful life and realized that there was so much I had learned in the past 25 years about how to own my power and use my voice that was relevant for so many other people around me.

It’s about: Guidance, storytelling and practical tools that will inspire you to realize your purpose and potential, ignite your fierce and create the life you’ve been dreaming of.

The most unexpected takeaway is: Everything you need is already within you. You are the hero of your own story. You are the change you are dreaming of.

It’s a game changer because: Rediscovering your fierce inside is a process of coming home to yourself. Along the way, you’ll inspire those who are witnessing your transformation to do the same. In this way, your self-leadership is in fact the biggest impact you can ever have.

My hope is that readers will: Reconnect with their power within, recommit to their fierce and use the many actions that are included at the end of each chapter to embark on creating the change they want to see in their own lives and the wider world around them.

What makes my days sunnier is: A walk in nature, taking deep breaths, coming home to this moment right now, where I know I am all that I am.

My next book might be: An exploration of the power of uncertainty and how, if we embrace it rather than fight it, everything changes.
