A Review of “Enjoy In Joy”

A Review of “Enjoy In Joy”

My name is: Collette Heady; publishing name Geeco.

My book is called: Enjoy In Joy (November 25, 2020).

My background before becoming an author was: Providing exhibition solutions for global businesses.

At the age of 25, I was introduced to the spiritual principles in the 12-step recovery program of Alcoholics Anonymous, and I have been embracing them and sobriety ever since. Through the fellowship of AA, I met the other writers involved in this book. We have all used AA as a springboard into a spiritual life, which has enabled us to find answers to the problems that we face in our lives. Amongst other things, we have studied The Power of Now and A Course in Miracles and we practice and share meditations with each other.

We were inspired to write it when: In Feb 2020, my life changed suddenly due to the global health crisis—my job of 24 years was gone overnight. Plunged into uncertainty and fear, with our regular contact at meetings canceled, we started to write and share a “thought for the day” with each other. This helped us to connect, bringing healing into our own lives and each other’s.

We began writing these contemplations with no thought of publishing them. However, the longer the situation remained, the more evident it became that the world was suffering from the epidemic of fear, and we had an overwhelming feeling that we wanted to share our light, love, joy and resilience with the world.

It’s about: Living without fear. Loving without fear. Daring to be oneself. Letting go of limiting beliefs that prevent us from being who we really could be.  It’s about seeing things differently and being open to new experiences.

The most unexpected takeaway is: Freedom.

It’s a game changer because: The reader is gently guided into self-empowerment.

My hope is that readers will: Get more out of life and increase their peace of mind and happiness by making simple changes.

This book can bring sunshine into your life by: Challenging you to change your thinking.

Our next book might be: Our next book of contemplations is already well underway and takes these ideas even further.
