MY NAME IS: Ellie Burrows

I'M KNOWN FOR BEING:

Chief Executive Officer at  M N D F L. Sometimes I feel like that stands for “Chief Experience Officer.” But my closest friends call me the “Boss of Relaxation.”

I'm launchingM N D F L, New York City's premiere meditation studio, featuring expert teachers from a variety of traditions and offering simple techniques in an accessible manner.

YOU CAN FIND IT AT:

10 East 8th Street in the heart of Greenwich Village. For those of you who are meditation nerds like me, you'll notice that our address is rather auspicious: 108 is one of the most mystical numbers in Eastern traditions.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL IS:

At M N D F L, we give you space to breathe and that’s super hard to find in this big, bad city. M N D F L exists to enable humans to feel good. When classes are not in session, our space is open to the public for self-guided practice. Also, it’s pretty gorgeous, so come see it and bring your breath.

ONE THING YOU CAN'T MISS IS:

A meditation class with our chief spiritual officer, Lodro Rinzler. Also, our plant wall, which was designed by Artisan Moss and The Sill. And, of course, the free tea. 

YOUR BODY WILL THANK YOU BECAUSE:

Meditation is delicious and the body can totally taste it. It fosters deep relaxation whether you are on the cushion or off. It also helps you be more present and authentic in your life, whether at work or with loved ones. During our soft launch, people would come out of the studio and say, “I really needed that.” When it comes to a body saying, “thank you,” that's as straightforward as it gets.
